Mafia books can either be fantastic or horrible. Thankfully, this was fabulous! The story was fast paced, suspenseful, humorous, and oddly romantic at times. Tightly written, every scene mattered. More details come out in this book to begin unraveling the troubles within the organization, and the main characters’ relationship further develops.
NOTE: Yes, there is violence…killing, torture, etc….but it is Mafia romance so you should expect it.
McAvoy is a new author for me but after this series, I’ll be checking out more of his books! Hayes did a solid narrative, particularly his Irish accent.
