Would you try another book from Glen Tate and/or Kevin Pierce?

What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The story is way, way too slow. Again. I thought I would give the first book a break and give this series a second try. I’m done though. I don’t know how to describe it but the author’s language is so simple, often repeated over and over. It just drags on with long descriptions of the simplest things. I mean, I was at the point of banging my head against the concrete if I heard the narrator say “it is weird” one more time. Enough.
Could you see The Collapse being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
The concept yes.
