I loved this book, as I have loved all of Mark Goodwin’s books. Kevin Pierce does an excellent job narrating this interesting and intriguing story that holds your interest from start to finish.

However. To imply that God’s name was lost because it’s pronunciation was meant to be passed from generation to generation on a verbal basis is misleading at best and can be construed as a down right misrepresentation of the facts. The truth, TRUTH, is that the entire Hebrew language leaves out vowels from many of its words and the pronunciation of many Hebrew words was meant to be passed on verbally from generation to generation. This was not just for the name of God, so to imply that the name of God was lost due to the assassination of King Solomon’s Temple architect is simply NOT the case. The actual spelling of the name may have been lost, but the pronunciation of this special word was less likely to be lost than any other Hebrew word that contained one or more vowels. Shame on Mark Goodwin for twisting this into some long lost attempt to hide the name of God.

This just goes to show you that you cannot allow yourself to be lead without questioning your leader.

Still, I am looking forward to listening to the remaining books by Mark Goodwin and hope that there are many more to come.
