This might be my favorite of the series so far because it starts to naturally fold in the types of trauma that you’d expect from people going through this situation. It’s still bonkers, unrealistically gameified action to the max, but the author finds his stride with making the characters more complex in this one.
And of course, the narration is UH-MAY-ZING. Just top notch. Every book has been superbly narrated and produced and this is no exception. The “post-credits scenes” are just such a cherry on top.
