My husband and I went on ATkins last year but have kind of strayed a bit.. I’ve seen recipes for Paleo on pinterest that looked delicious, so thought I’d find out more about the diet..

I really wasn’t impressed… The diet restricts too many foods, does not include any sweetener other than honey (my husband is a diabetic and isn’t suppose to eat honey) and you’re suppose to eat grass fed beef, wild meats, organic fruits and veggies, free range eggs, etc… That would be very expensive to purchase in our area, if we could even find them…

While I agree that processed foods are horrible on the body, I think this diet is too restrictive to be enjoyable.. Many of things that are no no’s are things we can eat on Atkins.. I think eating only the foods allowed on this diet would become very boring very fast..

I listened to about 3/4 of the book but ended up turning it off because quite frankly, it was pretty boring.. I didn’t feel motivated in the least from what I listened to…

Back to Atkins for us…
