As with everyone else, I always like to go into a book and know nothing about it 🙂 I have to admit, I’m not keen on the cover, but it’s just because I don’t personally think half naked men look good when portraying a story as good or well thought out as this one, it’s little unjust for it.
Anyway, very pleasantly surprised with this. There were elements in it right from the kick off that had you on the edge of your seat and wondering and worrying how this was going to go. Jesse is a very resourceful character, and as strong as she is, she’s also got flaws which makes her and her relationship with her sisters much easier on the mind, they’re not 2d by any means. I also thought that the two sisters were dynamic and very cunning. 🙂
The male characters, well the only thing that really put me off were there names. A lot of thought went into this as a story, and world building, yet the author choose those. An alien race as the Trivators I would have thought might have their own names at least, not something stereotypical.
However, there were some great twists and turns in the book and I really enjoyed the story on the whole. Almost a cliff hanger ending, but I think it just led me to hope there were more in this series. That so I went and looked after and then bought the others in the series 🙂 hehe
David as a narrator had a wonderful smooth toned voice, and it purred when needed. Very intense scenes, with huge emotional impact. (of course some steamy sexy scenes) and listening to those is a little new for me. Reading yeah, but hearing it… wow.
I have a bit of catching up to do on reviews first 🙂 But thanks a lot for the entertainment, from the driving day job.
This book was given to me in return for an honest opinion. And I really am looking forward to more from both writer and narrator.
