I just started reading after a long career as a court reporter. I’m 70 and a cancer survivor. I was amazed with the character Syb. She reminded me of the judge I worked for, a female and a beautiful person. She’s passed now. But I had a very close relationship with her. We worked so well together. I have experienced these close relationships with my judge. Most of her decisions were spot on. There were cases where she rules and one in particular she had no choice to rule that way but it affected a young man. So similarities to Syb and DM. I’m so excited to have listened to this book. I can’t wait til I read the next. Thank you! I loved all of the characters and their rolls!
