This is a little to “cute” for my taste. The plot isn’t bad at all, but the female main character, a 12-year old, is a little too sweet, a little too precocious, and a little too annoying for me. Her higher-pitched mousy voice grated on my nerves…like a mild headache you feel coming, and you’re all out of ibuprofen. I listened to it all, and it gave me some entertainment, but several times during the execution of the story I found myself yelling for her to just shut up.
