The entire battle sequence involving Lucia attacking Donut by the nest was terribly forced. for someone who makes great decisions under stress and chaos, it is clear that Matt painted himself into a literary corner and had Carl act foolishly and counterintuitively in several ways during that fight. The sequence is the only truly forced and fake feeling chapter in the series. it’s very irritating.
