I wasn’t prepared for it to end as soon as it did. After the first few chapter in the audiobook i was already attached to Ben and Joel. Joel is shown as a normal teen who is a bit more mature than his friends. Ben, ex-military with a world of survival skills comes across as a loving father to his son and his other two children who are living with their Mom in another state. Ben and Joel are preparing to travel and make sure that Joel’s siblings are safe.

The descriptions of the attack on America and the swiftness of so many Americans falling into ruthlessness and adopting an attitude of looting, killing each other and taking what ever they want was very disturbing and eye opening to me.

I am anxiously awaiting the next book
