I was barely able to get thru this series and did fast forward books 1-6. Definitely not Horton’s best works. However these three books were surprisingly good! Completely different from the others with more attention to detail and good action scenes. No dark humor like in his other series The borrowed world but a great set of books. I would highly recommend this boxed set! Horton is an excellent writer and the best in this genre. Excellent.
