Brian Whitney and Nic Edwards share the story about the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in THE DELPHI MURDERS: The Quest to Find the Man on the Bridge. I am a fan of true crime stories. I’ve read books from Author Brian Whitney before, but this is the first of his books on audiobook that I have listened to. This story was well told, and the narration gave more depth to the story. When I first read the book, I think I read it at just the right time, as every time I read a true crime book, I look up more information about the case, to see if there has been any developments. And in this case, there were more developments than in the book, and it seems that court documents claim that the young girls were killed in a pagan cult, but that’s according to the defense. There seems to still be a case while it is in court, and what is going on. After listening to this book, I am reminded when I first read it, and also did the research to learn more. The narration is magnificent, and helps tell the true, despicable story, and consider the victims of the case, and not just another murder case. It’s called the Delphi murders because the girls went missing after going for a walk, in Delphi, Indiana. Their bodies were found near the Monon High Bridge trail in the Delphi Historic Trails. The book starts from the beginning and goes through the motions of where the investigation went, especially in different directions, and there were different suspects, but that’s how an investigation will go. My heart goes out to the parents of these young girls, as it is always disheartening to discover such a case. I did read the print version of the story, and enjoyed it, but I also really enjoyed this audiobook. This narration really brought this story to life. THE DELPHI MURDERS on audiobook is a definite listening recommendation by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to listening to many more titles by this author. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews recommends that anyone who listens to this book, to also write a review.
