So the content warning in the description doesn’t really cover how problematic this book and this series is. This touches on CNC, BDSM, and later on in the series — straight-up rape. Plus the main character is the epitome of evil and solipsism. Also, repeated use of the R word.
That having been said, I’m deeply torn because I LOVE the series. It’s hilarious. It’s like my friends and I are playing a murder hobo D&D campaign and we’re coming up with the most ludicrous scenarios we can imagine. Philosophically, I have a problem with the way this series makes jokes out of really messed up stuff, but I can’t help continuing to read.
