Overall I’m enjoying the story and really enjoyed the first book. I was a bit Blind-sided by the pronoun diatribe… this is a realm of Cultivation and magic, murder and infinite power. There is a wolf man. When species is fluid, why do we need a lecture on pronouns and gender fluidity? Nobody cares and it stands out painfully.
Zack also sucks, but at least crappy people are a believable part of any story, and we can wish for karma.
