While Dinniman’s action scenes are some of the best and the complexity and intrigue just get deeper and deeper with every book, the real stand out is his ability to give the characters heart and to give you a visceral sense of connection with the characters. You feel like you bleed with them. You feel like they are in real danger and you experience real, shockingly real. outrage at the indignities that they suffer. This book is widely regarded as the best so far in this series and it deserves that title.
