Listen, I grew up with all boys. I have multiple brothers, almost all male best friends, our class of 36 was 90% male with my youth group having around that same stat.

That being said, – no one is more used to boy humor than me. It exists. It is real- and I have been consistently surrounded by it my entire life.

THIS BOOK IS THAT.

I have a lot of female friends who will hate this, and that is mostly due to the man jokes about boobs, fetishes, war, and yada yada bla bla bla.

I think this book as a whole was fun. It’s constant male humor made me inherently roll my eyes and admittedly chuckle from time to time.

It is almost impossible to not compare it to Ready Player One, as that is one of my favorite books of all time, however, this is hands down not as good imo. I would say it’s fairly on par with ready player two…?

I know there will be gals who love this series, but I also am hyper aware that almost none of my female friends would like it- and most of them would feel it mildly if not deeply offensive.

I try to not take media too seriously- this, for me, was a fun adventure, summing it down to dungeons and dragons meets hunger games murder style syfy.
