At first I thought this was gonna be a predictable dark mafia romance read but it ramped up so fast and every time I thought I knew what was going to happen I didn’t! The plot definitely had me sitting at the edge of my seat! I’ve read one other book by Jagger Cole but it was out of order. I still enjoyed it but I think I like this story way better. The plot and how complicated the characters are won me Over. I think Carmine and Lyra were a great couple to start the series with, will definitely continue to read the rest of the books. I’m very excited about the Stag I need his book expeditiously.
