No spoilers here. I’ve listened, and read this series multiple times. There is no slow burn. It’s more like an unfolding Rube Goldberg machine of wonder, WTF?!, hope, tears, and laughter. The story has an epic feel to it, and deals with universe wide issues, but the most compelling moments are those of personal connection, compassion, loyalty, and bittersweet honesty. Yes, it’s a constant barrage of surreal scenarios, incongruous characters, and razor sharp dialogue, often careening into unhinged soliloquy, but it resonates like some bizarre Tibetan singing bowl. There’s truth in there. We’ll see where things go, but I’m in till the wheels fall off. Thank you Matt Dinniman. Oh and Jef Hayes performance is outlandishly phenomenal. Do yourself a favor- dive in.
