Just as every baked good has a pinch of salt in it to intensify the sweetness with its contrast, the Correspondent contains, in what is a tragic, poignant tale, the most delicious, subtle humor throughout. In the telling, the author provokes all emotions and brings across the essence of what it is to be human, with all its accompanying struggles, successes, pain, and joy. I may listen to the whole thing all over again, which is something I never do!
