I like the voice over – that was the one part that was good about this. I like the world. There were some interesting ideas there.
What I didn’t like are flat characters. I was completely not engaged when listening not being able to feel them. I hated the time jumps. They made everything seem like characters didn’t earn “their powers”. There was no effort, just rewind a bit and here we are. The same goes for characters them selves. I couldn’t tell what character a specific character has beyond very shallow look, especially the antagonist – who was so one dimensional “buhaha, I’m so bad, look at me” type of character, that it hurt. There was no inner conflict, no real growth. The story focussed too much on action and too little on the characters them selves. It felt as if they were just puppets that serve moving the story forward.
