An amazing start to a new series. I was enthralled from start to finish. A cutesy magical girl with godlike powers is transfered to another world where she must discover what has become of her friends. A fast paced adventure that wraps everything up nicely and sets up book 2 without any agonizing cliffhangers or weird chops. At no point did it feel rushed. The side characters didn’t get fleshed out massively but the interactions with them never felt shallow or superficial, just enough to flavor the story nicely. Good mix of story and combat. A sailer moonish feel to it but adult. How can it not with a move like the…..Twisting Fishhook. That made me clench my butt and to pray it would never happen to anyone ever. Good read, worth the time and money.
