This book sounds like Mike Brady from The Brady Bunch talking to his 10 year old son. The dad Ben and his interactions with his son Joel who is probably 16 or 17 is kind of ridiculous, so formal and not very realistic. I got to chapter 17 and I don’t know if I’m going to be able to finish it. One ex) Ben the dad’s 1st introduction to this girl his son Joel likes after he just shot an AK-47 at looters is to shake her hand and say nice to meet you that’s crazy.
