The writing and character development has been superb in this series. It actually draws you in, puts you right in the middle of the action and makes you feel like you are a part of Jim’s clan. Without the frivolous gun battles stuffed into awkward places as filler, this story takes the time to make you feel at home in the series and lends the listener/reader a sense of investment into the characters. A slow burn series that builds momentum like a freight train then delivers a punch like a high caliber sniper rifle accurate and precise. Then there’s the narration because every good story needs a good story teller. Kevin Pierce has a huge part in endearing the listener to the characters and delivering the story in a way that gives it life and substance. Kevin is a master story teller that is at the pinnacle of his craft. Jim, keep your guns oiled and your packs stacked. Get ready for this coming storm.
