This story is too heartwarming to be NYC. Like, I’m not asking for rats and flooded subways but the protagonists could be a bit more worldly for living in the capital of the world, rather than having small town cutesy vibes. Like, why is June so sensitive about petty problems when she’s living in a crime heavy city. She needs to check her privilege. And Mikey is so obviously written by a woman. Like ain’t no way this is a New Yorker man from the big city, he too is also unnecessarily sensitive.
