I got this as an impulse after someone mentioned it online in a discussion about Crysallis. After being thoroughly burned out by all the “reborn as a _____” isekai stories, I wasn’t expecting much. However this was a really fantastic surprise! I think it’s because it’s an actual Roomba that gained intelligence rather than a human stuck in a Roomba, but that makes a huge difference. I was constantly laughing at the different perspectives of Void/Spot and the other characters around it. The idea that the person next to it is quaking in terror at its unfathomable and violent desires, while the Roomba is just mad it can’t get down the stairs, is just way more fun in practice than it sounds.
I honestly can’t tell you where this story is going, and I’m 100% here for it. Don’t skip this one
