Besides necromancers, vampires and banshees hellhounds are also high on my favorite paranormal beings-list. Yes, I have a type. Already in love with this series I was absolutely delighted when a hellhound made an appearance!
I couldn’t stop listening to this one either, the story just sucked me into the world of Angel and Simeon and I refused to leave. They have become one of my favorite book couples! The mutual dedication and affection, the respect and protective instincts, swoooon!😍
Besides Simeon being protective and possessive when it comes to Angel, he is also very patient when facing his mate’s outbursts and sometime reckless actions. 😁
I also love how fiercely protective and supportive Angel is when it comes to his brother and his apprentice, the fledglings. His I don’t give a fuck-attitude certainly doesn’t apply when it comes to his family, both chosen and blood. Oh, and speaking of poor Isaac. My heart breaks for this troubled young man who has been through so much.
I’m still in love with the series! I can’t make my mind when it comes to Batiste. He is a jerk, obviously, but he also has Angel’s back, even if Simeon is the reason for that and he has an agenda. And if I could pick one vampire to face his final death it would be Bridgerton and I would make it a slow one!
While this book’s murder mystery and all the other incidents like a kidnapping are solved it ends with sort of a cliffhanger, a revelation. And now I want a pet dragon, a wee beasty!
