This was a toxic love story wrapped up in a romance novel and I found it aggravating at times. Grace was giving and a natural care taker, and Jacob took her for granted at every turn just because he had trauma from the past. Grace also had past trauma, but she never made him feel horrible because of it. Even towards the end, when you think he’d learned his lesson, he completely crapped on her for helping him save his job. When he comes back, he offers no apology, she just accepts his proposal and they live happily ever after? May this love never find me.
