Toxic Tides is a dystopian tale featuring the loss of drinkable city and town water. While out on a geology trip Bash, Emily and Sam experience the rapid death of one of the other party’s scientists. Upon hiking to their pick- up location the group stumbles across Hazel and her younger brother Caleb who were escaping from the cult in which they were raised. Emily discovers the water is contaminated with a toxic algae bloom and Bash takes everyone to his cabin since the break-down of society is occurring everywhere. This audio book has amazing characters, plot twists, a struggle for survival, violence, and the formation of a strong family. I highly recommend this complete
