If you could sum up The World Beneath in three words, what would they be?
Unique Action Abounds. Edison is Great.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
A lot of times it did! Rebecca Cantrell builds an appealing set for characters that you quickly begin to deeply care about. Surrounds them with peril in a realistic way.
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?
Joe Tesla, as far as expansively performed by the narrator. Hands down though, Edison! Though he doesn’t have A LOT of dialogue for Jeffrey to perform. Lol
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The tunnels haven’t had this much action and excitement since “the Taking of Pelham 123”.
Any additional comments?
What originally want me want to listen was the idea of people living in the extensive below ground areas of a city. I’ve watched documentaries of the homeless and society’s outcasts living down there. It appeals to me. I went in not knowing anything other than that about the author or the book awards and such. I’m convinced! This series is one I’ll get more deeply involved with. With character names of Tesla and Edison? How could you not want more?
