The structure of the book is interesting, telling the story only through letters and emails. Some of the characters were very likable, but the main character, Sybil, continued to be rather cold and self-absorbed, even though she did improve. I feel like the large number of characters worked against the author being able to show a lot of growth in
the main character. If the plot and back story was a little less grim, Sybil could have been humorous, sort of like Sheldon Cooper in Big Bang Theory. The author is talented, but needed help in focusing on her goal and how to get there. It is still enjoyable, especially in the audible version. But it would probably be easier to follow in text.
