Ok this book has been all over booktok so I finally listened to it and OH MY GOD am I glad I did the audiobook. I cannot believe how amazing Jeff Hays is at voice acting. The range and ability he was able to accomplish was the best narration I’ve ever experienced. On top of that this story was so fresh and new and unlike anything I’ve read. Carl, our beloved Dungeon Crawler enters the dungeon with his cat Princes Donut. Her refreshing pompous attitude and his stark gruffness make the best duo. Imagine if the hunger games was a post apocalyptic video game where the goal was just survival in dungeon with 18 floors with extreme comedic relief and hilarious real age references. Oh my gosh it’s sheer perfection.
