The writing is exquisite, the characters each reflecting something in us or someone around us, the emotions deeply relatable. This is the best voice acting of an audio book I have ever listened to. Usually there is at least one character whose voice is distracting enough to pull you out of the story; this one had NONE. Each voice delivered an audible illustration to depict the character, both in tone as well as rhythm. This will be one book I will be glad to listen to over and over, and it is going on the “recommend to absolutely everyone in my life” list
