I had a really hard time getting into this book because the narrator goes from normal to SHOUTING frequently. If I had the volume at a normal level, the sudden shouting volume would make me jump and hurt my ears. It was ridiculous. I lowered the volume so I could barely hear the regular volume speech so the sudden doubling or more of volume wouldn’t be such a shock, and that was not ideal. His performance of most characters was overdone, and made some characters sound way more annoying than they should have.
Virtual voice would have been better than this narrator.
