I wasn’t sure since when I originally bought the book based on Facebook LitRPG recommendation. Based on the recommendations of books, I bought into two other series. I listened to those books first. Both started off good. The first series started really good went down a weird path of the MC surrounding himself with just females as they through them at his feet to include a creature. The second series started ok, but got better, then got too deep away from the storyline.
The first book in The Grand Game was great. The storyline of course similar to many others, but the world is unique enough to make it different and fresh.
The first book is a 5 star. I hope the rest of the series at least maintains a 4 star.
