Mori and River’s story is exciting from beginning to end. Although it states it can be read as a standalone, large portions of the book don’t make sense without the context from the previous two books, especially since it deals with the fallout from book two, Devil May Care. Even with the rocky start these two have, they still find their way to each other through everything. River is truly a force to be reckoned with, and Mori is no slouch either. The story is well written and captivates immediately, with a very good balance of story and spice. Leslie isn’t the ideal narrator, but Calley does an excellent job with the characters, bringing them to life.
