I love good mysteries, some are so convoluted I lose track and then regain it later in the story.
Annalise Ryan writes a very interesting story, with some twists and turns but I always feel solidly anchored within the mystery. Mattie is just as caring, loving, gentle and goofy as always but she’s gaining the confidence she’s has always wanted. Hurley is mellowing out a bit , add Emily and Matthew and the four of them are becoming the loving family all three have wanted. Emily is growing into a lovely young woman and Matthew is more than a handful but very sweet. Their entire extended family and friends are present. Unfortunately, some will come to an untimely end.
It sort of ends on a cliffhanger but not so much to upset anyone. It’s worth the credit and ultimately when it comes to an end, you will smile.
As always the Ryan/Marie combination is a fruitful one.
Oh, Hurley’s new “pet name” for Mattie will make you laugh and chuckle every time he says it.
