I don’t have enough adjectives to properly describe my dislike of this audiobook.
The story itself was painful if you’ve ever played any sort of video game, but I would have still enjoyed the whimsical silliness and cringe if it weren’t for the sheer awfulness of the voice actor chosen for the project. Hour upon hour of the worst Brock Samson impression I’ve ever heard… which was better than the other two voices he decided to use whenever he remembered to do so. if I were the author, I’d be pretty upset about my work being violated so vigorously in front of potential fans.
If you love fun and wince inducing social commentary, def READ this book. READ the physical copy. DO NOT waste your valuable money on this ‘performance’.
