The story was pretty good overall. The echoing voices got to be annoying. My best guess is the echoes are supposed to represent people speaking aloud, while the non-echoing voices were narration and internal dialogue. Other narrators do excellent work without the echoes, these narrators can as well.

The hammer’s voice sounds a lot like Cookie Monster when he gets cookies. Exuberant and loud.

The story overall was pretty good. It was hard to get to the story through the audio. As someone else noted I got about halfway through, before the echoes and voices started to get annoying. Although the story is good, I probably won’t get the next book if it’s narrated by soundbooth theatre.
