I had heard great things about dungeon crawler Carl from several sources, but when my non-geeky buddy recommended it to me, especially the audiobook version, I knew I was doing myself a disservice by not trying it. I’ve listened to a few LitRpg style audiobooks before, but I’ve never finished a series. The rambling of stats every other chapter becomes obnoxious, which is why my buddies explicit recommendation for the auditory medium of DCC piqued my interest.
All I can say is, TRY IT NOW! You won’t regret it. The voices and inflections are top notch and the story itself is extremely entertaining. I’m on book 6 and loving it still.
