- You didn’t love this book… but did it have any redeeming qualities?
- The author did try to make the female lead a strong woman which is nice, but at times she was still came across as needy and unrealistic for someone in her situation. Part of it is the writing and part of it is the way the narrator portrayed her.
- Any additional comments?
- It was a frustrating listen, the author needs to develop her writing and editing could use some work to clean up the book. A large majority of the sentences began with he (or she) making the flow stilted. Frequent repetitions were also sprinkled throughout, such as the beginning of a bruise was beginning to form which also disrupt from the flow of the story. Add the narrator very often pausing between words and the story was hard to listen to, I’m not sure I will be able to finish listening to this book.
