Made it through book one where every man in it is a complete moron and lacks any skills related to survival, then I was naïve enough to start book 2 thinking that somehow it would magically get better….NOPE. WHY in your mind, did it make sense to add in details about some lady and her wife over actual important details like dealing with raiding mobs, or actual survival? You went out of your way to make this book more appealing to one group of people and completely lost me and I’m sure many others who just want to read a book about survival without having your politics being shoved down our throat. To be very clear, I do not care who is sleeping with who or what sex they are, but what value (if any) does it add to the story line that would be so drastically changed by just leaving the characters as heteronormative and allowing the vast majority of readers of this genre to enjoy the book? Like the title says, you lost me. On a positive note, the narrator did a great job.
