So this was my first gay men romance book. In all honesty, I was hesitant to listen but I was immediately caught up in the story line. There is a lot going on in this book besides just two men falling in love. We get to know them, and their insecurities, as individuals and people. The character development is superb. One of the main characters was a little whiney for my tolerance but isn’t it the case that in life, sometimes people that mean the most to us can be whiney and we want to just shake them?! I definitely felt that way at times. And the other main character, I just felt his growing love and conflicting uncertainties. Being close to his age, I completely understand his hesitation to be true to himself and how he grew up.
Anyway, give it a listen! It was money well spent.
