I could nit pick and complain about the use of a few words being a bit excessive and not feeling organic to the way Carl typically talks but I honestly love this series and I think the story is a lot of fun. I rarely tell strangers about the books I am listening to…with DCC I find myself standing in lines at stores and telling everyone around me to listen. My son rarely listens to books anymore. He started book 1 when I was on book 5….I just finished this one and he is like maybe 10 hours behind me. I actually ran into an artist in a used bookstore and started telling her about DCC and turned out she had just been commissioned to do a piece with Carl, Donut and she couldn’t remember the 3rd, I asked if it was Mongo and she said yes…so I told her to go read reddit threads and take notes about what people hate on when ai pics are posted. Anyway, I love this series…and I ❤️ Jeff Hays narration …and I love Matt and Jeff (and even the audible rep) even more because they all loved my NOT a Cocker Spaniel little toy sized fluff ball of a sheltie….and anyone who falls in love with my dog gets extra bonus points!
