One of the most boring books I have ever read! This was one of the worst, least-imaginative books I have ever read. Completely predictable. Cliff hanger ending. Boring. And audible (male) was terrible.
In Calista’s chapters the female voice actor reads Hayden’s lines? Instead of the male voice actor reading his own characters lines? I prefer when they read all their own character lines even if it’s in the other voice actors chapter. great book tho. I just wish it was recorded differently
i absolutely hate it when a Author uses sex scenes to fill in.Also Luna is so annoying.Crying & acting tough. When really she’s a weeping mess with no common sense. I mean half the supernaturals want to kill you and instead of laying low, you decide you want to go to work. Where everyone has..
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of the way it was written but considering the first book ended so abruptly, my opinion could change if I decide to listen to the 2nd book. However, with the way the narration went in this book, it’s going to be one of those days I need..
The premise was strong—obsession, murder, and legal drama—but the pacing was slow, and I really struggled with the female lead. I don’t mind flawed characters, but I lose interest when the FMC outright lacks common sense and makes decisions that just don’t make sense. Hayden was intense but some of his dialogue came off as..
It honestly felt like a poorly made version of hunting and haunting Adaline. But the sex scenes were really weird. Like one minute they’d be having a normal conversation and then BAM very vulgar (doesn’t fit in this context) sex scenes. Personally if I could return this and get my credit back I would. If..
Great storyline, can’t wait to listen to the second one. But… really don’t like the narrator. Her voice is rushed and forced, and not at all enjoyable.
this was purchased on a whim due to the bundle and sale price at the time. First book seemed like the series could develop into something even if the FMC had a crazy, unrealistic perspective of how someone who was weaker- magically, physical strength, lack of knowledge could impact their outcomes … but new to..
