I liked this audiobook but I felt like I was missing a lot of the story. Maybe it was because it was told in single POV. I liked the story and definitely has me intrigued on what happens next. The narrator did a really good job narrating this.
Claws of Death is a new cozy mystery featuring Jackie Norwood, a washed out celebrity chef. Jackie had an alcohol problem but is sober now and is in the process of getting her life back on track. She is invited to judge a crab festival in TX. To her surprise her nemesis Heather is also..
Claws of Death is book 1 in the Fatal Food Festival Mysteries by Cathy Wiley. I felt that this cozy was such a good book. The characters are interesting and the narrator, Anne Marie Lewis, gives a fabulous performance. I believe that the story was complex while interesting and it moved quickly but not rushed…
The beginning of this book was a bit choppy. The villain was stereotypical and annoying. However, once the villain was dealt with, the story progressed nicely. The characters were engaging, and the mystery well-written. I look forward to the next book.
Claws of Death is the first in the Fatal Food Festival Mysteries series by Cathy Wiley. Jackie Norwood is a recovering former food network star chef. Fresh out of rehab, she’s trying to rebuild her reputation by judging at a small crab festival. Her bad luck continues to haunt her as the someone gets poisoned..
Amazing story of triumph over devastation. Great historical reference of how women have been mistreated, unappreciated and had to fight for their civil rights (which they didn’t use to have at all). This woman is my hero!
The writing is flawless, the story beautiful. Enjoyed this wholeheartedly. Even payed for and read the third book, which is even better, and I never read.
