So Good
Review from The Disappearance of Sherlock Holmes →
Captivating story told in the style of Watson with Sherlock twists and turns. A true page turner. Wonderful!
I’ve listening to many Sherlock Holmes books written by post-Doyle writers but this is one of my favorites. And Steve Hendrickson is on the same level as Scott Brick in terms of voice acting talent.
Review from Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon: A Minnesota Mystery →
I expected this to be a bit of a hokey rinse and recycle of the traditional Conan Doyle stories however Millett did a great job of capturing that same sense of mystery and shock at the end. Highly recommended.
Basically a story about the author’s OC with Holmes and Watson bowing to him. I returned it early even though it was free
The reading by Steve Hendrickson makes this story immensely entertaining. Rafferty’s Irish accent, the accent of the Scandinavian immigrants in Minnesota. And I laughed out loud when Mr Hendrickson made Sherlock Holmes try to pronounce the title of the Swedish almanac called “Den Kunskapsrike Skolmästaren”. Worth a listen for the story, as well as for..
I love Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. This was a great story well narrated in Conan’s style and totally enthused with the storyline. Great read and would recommend to all mystery lovers.
The writing style is so close to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle it’s easy to forget you’re listening to a modern day writer. Larry Millett had done a wonderful job creating new adventures with new characters, whilst keeping on line with an authentic Sherlock mystery.
