I had a problem with the use of letters. H instead of Holmes W instead of Watson ect. I get it that’s how it was written. Just say the names.
Ok, but not Millet’s best. I’ve enjoyed his Holmes in Minnesota series. This one was more about Rafferty and much less about Holmes. Too much in common with one of the others in the series.
if you enjoy Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock, you will enjoy this. I think there’s four books I listen to them and rap into session and the characters are solid storyline ties backwards and forwards and very interesting ways.

There’s something about hearing the space & clipped journal entries read aloud that, after one chapter, becomes maddening. I couldn’t take it and had to resign in Chaper 13. leaving it unfinished.
I have been enjoying the series, both as a Sherlock Holmes fan and as a Minnesotan. Slightly frustrating is how often Sherlock gets tricked repeatedly in a way that seems excessive for the great detective. It does, however, allow for various characters to have more equal chunks of “screen” time.
Fits well in the Sherlock Holmes fan fiction. Well written with annotations & clarifications by the author after the end of each story.
Really enjoyed this book! The story has me wondering as to who all the conspirators were throughout the story. I had my suspicions, but it wasn’t until near the end of the suspicions were confirmed. Happily surprised by the return of the character who is both intriguing and malicious at the same time. Definitely worth..
I really enjoyed listening to this fun and creative work. I recommend it strongly. Excellent narration as well.
