But the female narrator didn’t match the character. She didn’t portray bad ass like the story. She was breathy and kind of whiny. Just wasn’t believeable. I skipped most of Alessa in the 2nd book. The epiloque was just annoying to me. Decided against audio for rest of series. Will just read the books.
This is my first book by this author. I’ll be searching for others. The crescendo to the end was just amazing!

its cute, spicy, but the female main characters southern hillbilly vibe is difficult to get past. like they tried for modern southern belle but its chafing. ok for a short listen I dint pay for but I wouldnt recommend.

The story is good but u couldn’t stand the voice of the female narrator. I’m going to finish it on kindle, I got annoyed with the female narrator every time she tried to do the male voice or when she gets mad. She would be perfect for a kids books not for dark romance.
