I gave the first 3 books 4.5 stars. This one came in quite a bit lower at 3 stars. I still love the world that Alessa made but was pretty disappointed in the mental health rep. Hermes mental state constantly being referred to as crazy or mad. The narrator also lost me on this one…

Hades and Persephone are always my favorite retellings. I LOVED the banter in this one. Like I CACKLED multiple times. I also adored how Alessa portrayed Persephone of light and darkness. “Tyrants who overthrow others always worry that they in turn would be overthrown”

I am so obsessed with the way Alessa is retelling these stories of the gods. Old gods, new worlds and a meddlesome terror/cult group trying to upend their lives. I had no clue these books had a little bit of a mystery undertone but I am loving them!

This version of Ariadne and the Minotaur was so entertaining from beginning to end. I loved the old magic mixed with the current real world cityscape.I’ve had this in my library since it first came out and I’m kicking myself that it just took me till now to listen
