I was looking for something a bit “lighter” than my usual romantic suspense, but not as “clean” as most cozy mysteries. This hit the spot for me. I am just disappointed that the second book of the series is not available in audiobook. I was ready to buy it immediately after finishing the first book.

I really liked this series. What I didn’t like is Gabriel does everything for Mercy and demands he tell her he loves her but she didn’t tell him once in 4 books that she loved him. I thought she was bratty and didn’t bring much to the table.

I thought it was ridiculous that Mercy had a million terms but couldn’t even keep the few Gabriel asked of her. I just kept thinking he should dump her on her ass till she learns to appreciate someone fixing EVERYTHING in your life. She drove me nuts.
